# Request access

Request Shredstream in the console, choose metros and receiver count, review the answer and arrange changes to your receivers.

Source: https://docs.zerocopy.sh/shredstream/access

Team admins and developers can request Shredstream. Open your team in the
[console](https://console.zerocopy.sh) and select **Shredstream**.

## Submit a request [#submit-a-request]

In the request form:

1. Select the metros where you want delivery.
2. Choose **Number of receivers**, from 1 to 16. A team can have at most 16 receivers.
3. Add an optional **Note** with your requirements, up to 1,000 characters.
4. Select **Request Shredstream**.

Each receiver needs a public routable IPv4 address, a UDP port and one metro. Have those
details ready for setup. See [receiver requirements](/shredstream/receivers) before
requesting delivery.

## Track the answer [#track-the-answer]

The console shows **Request open** while ZeroCopy reviews the request. Until ZeroCopy answers,
use **Edit request** to change it or **Withdraw request** to cancel it. Withdrawing a
request leaves any existing receivers running.

The answer appears in the console and is sent by email:

| Answer | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Receivers set up | ZeroCopy has set up receivers for your team. Review the reply and receiver details. |
| Request declined | ZeroCopy has declined the request. Read the reply before sending another request. |

ZeroCopy provides the source addresses at setup. Allowlist them in your firewall and open
the receiver's UDP port before receiving the stream.

## Start delivery [#start-delivery]

Delivery starts once a receiver is active. Billing starts from that day; keep prepaid
credit available. Check the receiver state and reports in the **Receivers** panel.
See [monitoring and billing](/shredstream/monitoring-and-billing) for what those figures mean.

## Request changes [#request-changes]

Use **Request more metros or receivers** for additional delivery. To change an existing
receiver or have it paused, [contact support](mailto:support@zerocopy.sh).
Changing an active receiver's address or metro starts a new delivery period.
